Parisioners at Holy Trinity walked in procession to the statute of Mary, placed flowers at her feet, and crowned her before mass on May 5, 2019. A "May Crowning" is a traditional Catholic ritual that occurs in the month of May. Catholics have a special devotion to Mary, and we venerate her because she is the Mother of God. By praying to and honoring Mary in a special way, we are led to love her and to imitate her many virtues, especially her total commitment to God's work.
